Supply Coordinator
The Supply Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food pantry and the areas where other non-food essential items are stored. The Supply Coordinator is to make sure items are available for use when needed. It includes tracking incoming donations, checking expiration dates, record keeping, stocking shelves, rotating stock, and being able to supervise and support volunteers when available. This position reports to the Director of Social Services.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Food Pantry and the areas where other non-food essential items are stored.
- Process and manage donations, such as inventory items and checking expiration dates.
- Stock shelves by date and rotate stock according to dates.
- Keep shelves fully stocked so items can be pulled.
- Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to identify areas where volunteers are needed.
- Assign volunteers tasks while working alongside them.
- Record number of donations received, as well as, keeping records of items donated to other organizations.
- Help pack monthly food carts, homeless kits, emergency bags, to name a few.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area daily.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Social Services.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail
- Someone who is able to work independently while also working jointly with others.
- Ability to communicate well, both written and verbal.
- Able to lift and move items of at least 50 lbs.
- Requires standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Proficient in basic computer skills, including excel
- Passionate about wanting to provide needed items to those in need.
Pay:
- $15/hour
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8am – 5pm
