Position Summary
The Director of Partner Engagement is responsible for cultivating and stewarding strong relationships with financial donors and community partners who provide both monetary and in-kind support for the Samaritan Center’s Social Services programs. This role is about igniting passion, sparking connections, and mobilizing others into meaningful action. The right candidate will thrive on energizing relationships, inspiring commitment, and ensuring that our partners feel both valued and motivated to continue investing in our community.
This is an external-facing, highly relational role, ideal for someone who thrives on connecting people to purpose and understands the importance of collaborating with internal departments to amplify collective impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspire and rally support by cultivating strong, lasting relationships with donors and community partners.
- Keep the momentum going through proactive follow-up, personalized appreciation, and energizing engagement strategies.
- Coordinate engaging experiences such as tours, special visits, and events that bring donors and partners closer to the mission.
- Oversee logistics and gratitude practices for barrel drives and Care Corner partners
- Represent the organization with enthusiasm at networking events and community functions.
- Motivate consistency by identifying giving patterns and building systems that encourage recurring support.
- Provide compelling stories and impact updates for use in communications and campaigns.
- Ensure alignment with Executive Director and other departments regarding engagement strategy
- All other duties as assigned

- Strong communicator (both written and verbal) who brings energy and clarity to every interaction.
- Self-starter, organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through
- Comfortable speaking with diverse audiences and confidently sharing impact stories
- Proactive team player who thrives on collaboration and rallying others
- 1-2 years of experience in donor relations, nonprofit development, church outreach, or community engagement preferred
- Familiarity with donor software (Keela, Raisely, or similar) is a plus
- Passionate about the Samaritan Center ministry
