Administrative Assistant, Part-time
The Administrative Assistant handles a range of functions to make the administration activities within the Samaritan Center run efficiently and assists the Executive Assistant with the day-to-day operations at the Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, and other duties may be assigned:
Accounting:
- Manage office petty cash fund
- Collect, maintain and produce statistical reports as assigned
- Financial donation processing
- Annual filings and reports for non-profits
- Backup to Accounting Department, including possibly processing payroll, scanning checks and receipts
Communications/Event Planning:
- Assist with set up and tear down at various Communication events and event planning support
Secretarial:
- Organize appointments and meetings
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- Manage filing system and master copy of all forms
- Order and organize office supplies
Operations:
- Update and adjust Center phone system
- Staff Assistance Committee member
- Project management
- Interdepartmental communication
Personnel Records
- Process new employees (background check/process employee packet)
- Produce Employee Handbook copies and maintain staff files
- Maintain employee shirtsStaff Management:
- Staff Appreciation planning
Skills and Requirements:
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently, multi-task and take initiative, and properly prioritize tasks
- Dependable, punctual, and honest in dealing with time, money and materials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Keyboard and computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
- A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
- Professional attire
- Requires sitting or standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
- Eager to be involved in a Christian organization that makes an impact on this community
Hours: M-F 8am – 11am
Pay: $15-17/hour
