Join Us in Helping Our Community
Together, We Can Help Our Neighbors
The Samaritan Center exists to bring together neighbors helping neighbors. Like the innkeeper in the story of the Good Samaritan, we provide a place where care, compassion, and practical support can reach those in need. Local individuals, businesses, churches, schools, and community groups make that possible through their generosity and involvement.
Your support helps provide food, personal care items, household essentials, school supplies, financial assistance, and other critical resources for individuals and families facing difficult seasons. Every request for assistance is carefully reviewed so that donations are used wisely and directed toward genuine needs, providing Help for Today and Hope for Tomorrow.
There are many ways to get involved. You can give financially, donate items to support our thrift store and programs, provide food or essentials for families in need, or volunteer your time to serve the community.

Support for Our Ministry
Financial Support for Our Ministry
Your donation to the Samaritan Center ensures that 100% of each contribution directly supports our Social Services department. These funds provide essential programs such as rent assistance, emergency food, monthly food boxes, school supplies, baby layettes, and disaster relief.
We are deeply grateful for the generosity of our donors, whose contributions bring help and hope to our community.
Donate Items for Our Thrift Store
Your donations do more than clear space in your home, they help provide food, essentials, and support for local families in need. The Samaritan Center accepts a wide variety of new and gently used items to help keep our Thrift, Clearance, and Toy areas stocked. From furniture and clothing to household goods, toys, and even vehicles, donated items are turned into funding that supports our community through Social Services programs.
While we gladly accept most items, there are a few things we are unable to take. Please visit our Donation FAQs for a list of non-accepted items.
Need help with large donations? We offer free furniture pickup for qualifying items such as furniture and appliances. To schedule a pickup, please click the link to schedule a time.
The Samaritan Center also recycles select materials to help generate additional support for our mission. If you have questions about a specific donation, we’re happy to help.

The Care Corner
The Care Corner provides many of the everyday essentials that families need but often cannot purchase with SNAP benefits. Donations of personal care items, cleaning supplies, household essentials, and non-perishable food help make sure that local families have access to the basics needed for health, dignity, and stability.
Every donation stays in our community and helps provide practical support to neighbors facing difficult circumstances.
