“When people say, ‘It’s a drop in the bucket,’ they usually mean, ‘it’s too small to matter.’ But this statement is false. Every drop matters…” – Doe Zantamata

The Samaritan Center attests to this principle. We believe that small actions by individuals can make a huge difference in the lives of those around us.

The Samaritan Center seeks to make a positive difference in the lives of others, and this difference is made through the donations we receive. Like every drop in the bucket matters, so does every donation.

Sue, a regular monthly food box recipient, is so grateful for the help the Samaritan Center gives her, that every couple of weeks she comes in and donates a dollar or two, or sometimes a handful of change. “This is the only way I can give back.” Sue says. Even though we’re helping Sue, she still wants to give to help others. So while it may seem like a drop in the bucket, Sue’s donation matters.

As Ryunosuke Satoro says, “Individually, we are one drop. Together, we make an ocean.” Thank you, for adding your drop to the bucket and joining together with Sue and the Samaritan Center to create an ocean of change in our community.
