On Dec. 2, the 18th annual Ooltewah-Collegedale Spirit of Christmas Parade will give local groups the opportunity to display their Christmas spirit and share the joy of the season.

The parade takes place, Sunday, December 3, starting on Little Debbie Parkway at Jac Cate Road, turning east on Apison Pike, and ending at the Ooltewah Middle School on Ooltewah-Ringgold Road.

The Samaritan Center is organizing the parade, in conjunction with Steve Ray, owner of Ooltewah’s Midnite Oil.

Applications are due by November 29. They are available at the Samaritan Center, Steve Ray’s Midnite Oil, and online at thespiritofchristmastn.com.

The parade’s $25 entry fee will go to support the Samaritan Center, the only social services agency in Ooltewah, providing essential emergency aid services to more than 4,000 people in 2018. Online entry fees can be paid to the Samaritan Center here.

A representative from each parade entry is  required to attend the parade’s planning meeting, November 29 at 6 p.m., at the Samaritan Center’s Volunteer Sort Room.
