At the Samaritan Center we have a special team of people who help us achieve our mission of bringing help and hope to our neighbors in need. Without each member of our staff performing their valuable roles, our Center would not be able to effectively provide social services to our community. Our team members go above and beyond to provide service to our community, and there are many ways they are blessed along the way.
The Samaritan Center is currently looking for team members to join us in our mission to provide the community with help for today and hope for tomorrow. The following positions allow employees to make a difference in our community while working in a positive environment.
1) Cashiers and Processors
- Our cashiers and processors are fundamental to our thrift team. These team members work full-time processing donations for resale. Many of these team members are cross-trained to work as cashiers in our thrift stores. In addition, working full-time consistent schedules, our team members have the added benefit of getting Fridays and Saturdays off.
- In this position, you can make a difference as a Samaritan Center team member in our positive work environment. People who do best in this position are energetic and dependable with strong customer service skills.
- The schedule for this position is Sunday 12-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with Friday – Off and Saturday – Off
2) Warehouse Attendant and Donations Receiver
- Our warehouse attendants and donations receivers are the backbones of the Samaritan Center thrift team. They greet donors and prepare the donations to be processed in the warehouse.
- Warehouse attendants and donations receivers work in a warehouse environment receiving donated items from our community and then preparing them for processing.
- In this position, you can make a difference as a Samaritan Center team member in our positive work environment. People who do best in this position are energetic and dependable with strong customer service skills.
- You must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds. While previous experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred it is not required.
- This position offers consistent hours, but you must be able to work on Sundays.
