The Samaritan Center kicked off our fall food drive on October 4, as we delivered collection barrels to several area businesses. The food collected during this drive will enable us to feed hundreds of hungry families in our community. The business food drive continues through November 15.
Other drives, including the CAD4Hope food drive, conducted by Collegedale Academy, Collegedale Adventist Middle School, and A.W. Spalding Elementary School; and the D9 Food Drive, conducted by 5 area public schools, will begin later this month.
Our most needed items this year include:
– Canned Sloppy Joe Mix
– Canned Meat – Chicken and Tuna
– Baked Beans
– Rice Dinners
– Taco Kits
– Mayonnaise
– Vegetable Soup
– Vegetable Beef Soup
– Pickles/Relish
– Potato Dinners
