Morning Pointe Senior Living’s home office collected cold weather clothing items throughout the month of January and donated them to the Samaritan Center in Ooltewah this week. The donation drive is part of a corporate effort to touch over 25,000 community partners across Morning Pointe’s footprint in the Southeast during its silver anniversary year.
Morning Pointe Senior Living, a Chattanooga-based senior healthcare services company, owns and manages 36 Morning Pointe assisted living, personal care and Alzheimer’s memory care communities in five southeastern states. It was founded in 1997 by Tennessee healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and Franklin Farrow.
“Through the years, Morning Pointe has been honored to partner with the Samaritan Center as our
associates help aid in their collection efforts to assist those who need it most in our area,” said Mr. Vital, president of Morning Pointe Senior Living. “It is wonderful to be able to give back to such a great outreach organization in this region.”
Items donated included a few dozen new jackets, sweaters, gloves, socks, scarves and toboggans.
“It means so much to have Morning Pointe partner with us again this year to provide items to those most in need during these cold weather months,” said Erin Barthle, communications director for the Samaritan Center.
The Samaritan Center is a nonprofit social services agency that provides emergency assistance with
food, rent, prescriptions and utilities for local residents. It is a community resource where individuals and families from more than 70 area agencies, businesses, civic organizations, schools and churches of all denominations come together to minister to people in crisis.
