The school year may have just ended, but at the Samaritan Center, we're already getting ready for the next one!

Every year, the Samaritan Center helps 150-200 students get school supplies for the coming year. It's tough on a kid who already faces disadvantages at home to have to come to school without the supplies he or she needs. We give these kids of prequalified parents the opportunity to bring their lists in and "shop" for the school supplies they need and like. This gives them a boost to start the school year with confidence.

We need your help with stocking up on school supplies! All school supplies are welcome, but we especially need the following:

• Loose-leaf graph paper
• 1-gallon plastic storage bags
• Expo markers
• Girls' and boys' socks and underwear
• 1.5-inch binders
• Composition books
• Highlighters
• Older girls' backpacks
• Mechanical pencils
• Plastic pocket folders
• Dividers
• Ruled index cards (3x5)

For this collection, all supplies must be brand new.
