I know someone who needs help, can I call for them? 

No. We need to speak directly with the person who needs help.

Do we have “X” medical equipment?

Items we loan out based on availability:

  • bedside commodes
  • canes
  • crutches
  • shower chairs
  • walkers
  • wheelchairs

Medical equipment that does not fall under the above items is sold on the floor as regular merchandise.

Walk-ins may visit the donation dock for more assistance. If you have medical equipment to return, return it to the donation dock.

DONATIONS

Do we take mattresses, box springs, and/or TVs?

No.

Accepted items

We can accept gently used and new items. 

  • kitchen cabinets in good condition
  • VHS original tapes (no re-recordings)
  • Framed mirrors only
  • Good quality cabinets and sinks

Items we do not accept

  • No aerosols, chemicals, or paint.
  • No CPAP machines
  • No mattresses or box springs (no used or new)
  • No unframed mirrors
  • No modular office partitions
  • No paper or cardboard boxes
  • No tires
  • No toilets
  • No shower doors
  • No children’s car seats due to recalls
  • No cassette or 8-track tapes
  • No household trash
  • No TV’s of any kind
  • No damaged furniture
  • No building materials

What are the hours at the Donation Dock?

Our Donation Dock hours are:

Sunday, 12-5pm

Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm

Friday, 9am-3pm

Saturday, closed.

Can people schedule a pick-up?

Yes. Call (423) 238-7777 ext. 38 for more information on scheduling a pickup.

We do not pickup pianos.

Can you find an item for me?

No. Our stock changes constantly, so what may be here now may be gone later. Check out our social media pages for Tuesday Thrift Finds if you want something specific. Otherwise, your best bet is to visit the Samaritan Center thrift store and see what we have in stock on that particular day.
